The GCSE English language tuition is carefully structured and uses a variety of source material as well as Philip Kay’s own specially designed help notes.
Develop Writing Skills by:
- Revising spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Introducing a wider, more vivid vocabulary
- Adding variety in sentence structure (simple, compound, complex)
- Learning the art of persuasive writing
- Planning technique for argumentative writing
Develop Critical Analysis for Unseen Texts, Prose and Poems by:
- Working out the meaning of the content section by section
- Identifying the underlying theme
- Relating the language to the content
- Relating the form to the content
- Commenting on the variations in structure, especially in poems
GCSE English Tuition – Final Stage by Using Past Exam Papers
- First doing 1 or 2 questions at a time, carefully timed
- Then doing a whole paper, all questions being carefully timed
